This idler gear shaft supports the idler gear in your shuttle shift system. The idler gear engages during reverse to change the rotation direction. The smooth sections are precision ground, allowing the idler gear to spin freely with minimal run-out. A precise idler gear shaft ensures quieter and smoother reverse operation.
High Wear Resistance and Low Run-Out
The journal is high-frequency hardened to HRC 50–55, providing excellent wear resistance. The idler gear bushing works with this shaft for a long service life without significant wear. Radial run-out is controlled to ≤0.015 mm after grinding, ensuring smooth, noise-free rotation. Tempering gives the shaft strong overall durability, enabling it to withstand the side forces from idler gear meshing. This small component performs a critical role in your transmission system.
Precision Matters
Although small, the idler gear shaft requires high precision. Journal roundness and radial run-out are strictly controlled to ensure smooth gear operation. Orders start at 50 pieces, and mixed orders are supported, allowing different sizes and models in a single MOQ-a solution ideal for repair part buyers. Every journal undergoes 100% go/no-go gauge inspection, with spot checks on radial run-out using a run-out tester. Any part out of specification is scrapped; no defective parts leave the factory.
