Power Transmission Shaft

This power transmission shaft is a key part of the steering system on tracked machines. It controls the clutch and brake on each track, enabling precise machine turns. At Yancheng Botu Transmission Machinery, we manufacture this shaft from forged 20CrMnTi steel. It undergoes carburizing and quenching, followed by precision grinding. The spline and bearing seat are held to IT6 grade accuracy, providing sensitive and reliable steering. The forged structure is dense, and the carburizing and quenching process creates a tough core capable of withstanding sudden shocks during steering engagement. The spline teeth are carefully ground to ensure smooth sliding with the clutch plate pack. With a surface hardness of HRC 58–62, the shaft offers excellent wear resistance for long-term performance. With 8 years of experience in transmission parts manufacturing, we understand the high stresses a steering clutch shaft endures from frequent clutch engagement and braking. We optimize case depth and tooth root radius to increase fatigue life by 30% or more. Our 8,000㎡ factory and 45-person team produce 2–3 million pieces monthly, all in-house.
