A connecting sleeve, also called a bushing or transition sleeve, is a component used to connect two pipes of different diameters or materials. Connecting sleeves have the following functions:

Bureau Reduction: When pipes need to transition from a thicker to a thinner diameter, a bore reduction sleeve can be used to make the connection smoother.

Bureau Expansion: When pipes need to transition from a thinner to a thicker diameter, a bore expansion sleeve can be used to make the connection smoother.

Transition: When pipes need to be connected to two different materials, a transition sleeve can be used to achieve the connection.

Repair: When pipes are damaged or aging, connecting sleeves can be used for pipe repair.
