Working Principle Of Agricultural Machinery Gears

Agricultural machinery gears are widely used in mechanical equipment. They have several important functions, but one of the most crucial is their role in providing gear reduction in motorized equipment. This function is important because, under normal circumstances, while small electric motors with extremely high speeds can provide sufficient power to equipment, they cannot provide sufficient torque. For example, an electric screwdriver has a very large gear reduction ratio because it requires a large amount of torque to turn a screw, but an electric motor can only generate a small amount of torque at high speeds. Using a gear reduction device, the output speed can be reduced while increasing the torque.

Another function of agricultural machinery gears is to adjust the direction of rotation. For example, in the differential between the two rear wheels of a car, power is transmitted from the driveshaft in the center of the car. The differential needs to rotate this power 90 degrees before it can be applied to the rear wheels.
